Set of 4 handmade sterling silver Ice-Tea spoons by Navajo silversmith Don Platero. Award-winning Don Platero is well-known as a Navajo silversmith. His last name means "silversmith" in Spanish. He started working with silver in 1964 at age 10. Don, a third-generation silversmith, learned silversmithing from observing his father, Dan Platero. His mother, Agnes Platero was also a silversmith. Signed "Don Platero".

 

The spoon is 7’ in length and has a beautiful Lone Mountain turquoise cabochon from the 1980s. The set of spoons weighs approximately 128 grams.
