Vintage double Navajo wedding design basket with a row of colorful butterflies between the two black and red mountain designs. Please note that all of the butterfly wings are two-tone and the black mountains have serated edges. This is a rare design basket, the only one we have ever seen. Woven by famous Paiute weaver Natalie Edgewater. This basket has a light honey color patina to the white field from natural aging. Purchased new and always stored away, c1995.
