Rare antique Southern California olla or vase shaped basket with 4 water serpents or Avanya design. We aren't sure if this is a Chemehuevi basket or another southern California basket. Purchased c1990, we have had it stored away and it looks to be really well takin care of its whole life. There is no wear on the bottom, but note a few missing stitches on the rim.
