Large vintage Navajo wedding basket woven by famous Black Family Weavers Edith and Fannie King working together within the Navajo Reservation near "The Gap", Arizona. This basket is very evenly stitched and coiled and is as nicely woven on the back as front. This is a rare and unique Wedding basket variation that has twin mountain peaks on the inner and outer black mountains.
Of the 100's of baskets we have had over the years only a handful have had this added unique design. The light field color has a very light honey patina from age. This basket was purchased c1990-1995 and has been stored away since purchased so is it in as woven condition.
Size 12 1/2" x 1 1/2", As evenly woven on the back and front.
