This pair of vintage museum quality Seri Indian baskets was woven by master weaver Nora Molina in 1995. The trader that talked two different Molina sisters into weaving basket pairs was unique in that he managed to get them to sell them both one by one as a set. This basket pair has a sea turtle sacred to the Seri Indians in the center, swimming through the seagrass at Tiburon Island. A pair of Seri's in a canoe, two deer with large horns and ocotillo and a pair of organ pipe cactus. The olla has mountains, deer and cactus and is very finely and evenly woven. The natural polychrome colors are exceptionally bright and must have been harvested durning the height of growing season. Study photos for aging and detail. They have been stored away since new.

The plaque is 21" x 2 1/2" and the olla is 7"w x 4"h
