Vintage Papago / Tohono O'odham Lidded Treasure basket woven by master weaver Matilda Scaraficio. This basket was purchased from Matilda in 1982 and has been stored away since. It is a nice large Fret design pumpkin shape basket that is very evenly woven on the inside and outside. There is also a Fret design on the top of the well-made lid. There is a photo of Matilda holding the basket on her front porch inside the basket.
