Unique Hopi wicker basket with unpeeled rabbits bush weft showing. We meet this weaver from Moenkopi on the Hopi Reservation c1990. She was experimenting with her own style of weaving Hopi whicker plaque baskets by leaving the rabbits bush weft unpeeled and not folded into an edge and using a very fine sumac warp weaving for the basket. One side is lighter than the other.
